3rd Agility Class

We had our 3rd agility class last week (8/17). Bailey once again acceded my expectations. Not only is she performing great, but she's having a blast doing it. Bailey is happiest when she is learning agility and obedience. That's the most important thing.

I started teaching her to weave. I know there's a bunch of different methods to teach weaving. I'm using slanted poles. I'm opening them all up to a V shape. As Bailey progresses, I will slowly close them. So far she is doing great. I even bought my own set of practice weaves. We practiced yesterday for a few minutes and she was running with no issues. I'm going to keep them open for a while. My trainer said not to rush weave training.

Bailey started sequencing last week. I had her run through the tunnel and then directed her to a jump. Then I had her jump and directed her to a tunnel. At first she was confused, but after a few minutes she figured it out. She even screamed at me when I forgot to give her a treat.

We still haven't tried the dog walk and chute yet. We also need a lot of practice on the teeter.

Being 8 weeks behind and missing the introduction classes is a little rough. I do feel a little confused. I need to take a day and do some research or see how much my trainer would want for a private lesson to teach us what we missed.
