Yesterday was our 4th agility class. Bailey is doing fantastic! She is so fast, fearless and has an amazing drive. She loves agility so much. I actually feel a little guilty. She would probably be amazing if she had an experienced owner/handler. I also feel really awful that I don't have more time to practice with her. I hate being gone for 13 hours a day :(
Anyway... we did some off leash sequencing: 3 jumps and the tunnel. She was great! A few times she missed the last jump. I had to redirect her back to it. I'm really going to have to practice my handling skills. She is so fast and if I don't give her a command in time, she will run off and do her own thing. At one point, while we were waiting our turn, she decided to run in and out of the tunnel on her own. It took me a few seconds to catch her. When I put her leash back on, she pranced proudly with it in her mouth. It was adorable, but if I can't control her, she can't be off leash :( Bad Bailey!
At Home: continue to practice weaving, target training on an angle, and Bailey's recall.
Next Class: practice target on the A Frame and learn the teeter and chute (if the equipment is out)
I also have to practice rally obedience this week...we have our first trail coming up...
